Special Meeting

Monday, June 27th, 2011

6:00 PM. City Hall

Chairman Marc Kroetch opened the meeting for Parks & Recreation at 6:00 pm.  Present were members Mike Clary, Michelle Kelly and Kim Harlow.  Members Kevin Miller, Shelly Nave and Terry Devore were absent.   Activities Director Heather Riney was present.

Mike Clary motioned to accept minutes from May with a second from Michelle and a vote of aye by all.    

Board member Kim Harlow mentioned providing grass seed for the lot at 7^th & Monroe.   

The Spirit Lake Rec Center will be open for business Thursday, June 30th.  The Rec center will be manned by the volunteers of the Park & Rec Board over the 4^th of July weekend.  This first weekend, canoes, kayaks, paddle boats, life jackets and misc. food & water will be available for the public.

Adult softball is underway with 6 teams. 

Swim lessons to be offered in August.  Dates and details to come from the July meeting.

Marc motioned to close the meeting at 8:00 with a second from Kevin and a vote of aye by all.
