Special Meeting

 Wednesday, January 18^th, 2012

6:00 PM. Spirit Lake City Hall

Chairman Marc Kroetch opened the meeting for Parks & Recreation at 6:00 pm.  Present were members     Kevin Miller, Mike Clary, Shelly Nave and Kim Harlow.  Michelle Kelly and Terry Devore were absent.  Activities Director Heather Riney was present.

Details on the Winter Fun Fest were decided on.

· Shirts are ready to be picked up-Terry

· Maine Street needs to be blocked off by 10 am-Chief Lawless

· A tug of war rope needs to be rounded up-Mike

· Whiteboard-Marc

· Volunteers-Shelly

· Ice cube trays-Kim

· Snowman apparel – hats, scarves, charcoal etc.

· Wood-Mike

· Registrations-Kim

· Easy ups-All that we can get

Main team events will be; Smooshing, Igloo pull and snowbowling.

Children’s events will be; Ice cube scramble, Snowman building contest, hockey and snowman bean bag toss.  Various prizes to be awarded.

Winter Fun Fest to run 1:00 pm-4:00 pm

Kim motioned to close the meeting at 7:30 with a second from Kevin and a vote of aye by all.
